As a single mother of four children, including two with special needs, she navigated significant personal and professional challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her youngest son was diagnosed with autism and is non-verbal, with hearing impairment and suspected ADHD, while her daughter requires ongoing genetic monitoring due to a chromosomal condition. These circumstances led Ms. Andrus to reimagine her career path, balancing the demands of frequent medical appointments and therapy sessions with the need to support her family. What began as a social media-based laundry service quickly evolved into a full-fledged business enterprise. Laundry Me now offers a comprehensive suite of services, including wash and fold, hanging, ironing, dry cleaning, errands, decluttering, organizing, and donation drop-offs.
